According to a Chris Minx and another caller, Ethyl-Chloride (a local service anesthetic) can be found at any pharmaceutical supply, and can be sprayed (it’s sold in an aerosol can) on a part to cool it and aid in freeing stuck parts. Be careful, though, because it is very cold, and very flammable.
Radio Shack also sells an aerosol cold spray can that might provide the same level of coldness.
