This site would not have been created or lasted this long without the inspiration I received from listening to Dr. Bill Wattenburg’s radio show on KGO, starting while I was in junior-high or high school. There should be many more scientists and technologists like him in the media, to instill respect and appreciation for science and the scientific method in our youth.

Thanks are also in order to Jeffrey Zeldman, whose Web-design magazine, A List Apart, taught me a great deal of what I know about the Web. A List Apart’s design also served as a model and inspiration for the design of PushBack.com.

A somewhat recent addition to this site, the news “Web logs” (or “blogs”) that grace the home page and Bill’s page would not be possible without the Blogger Web log service created by Evan Williams, which makes it possible to add short bits of news and commentary to the site easily, and from any Web browser in the world.
