This section of PushBack keeps track of issues related to fair and accurate voting. It was begun in 2000, to document the technical issues related to the counting and recounting of punchcard ballots. Our next topic will be coverage of electronic voting.

FL2K—Analysis of the Technical Issues of the Florida Punchcard Ballots

This is one of the efforts that made PushBack famous. It began simply enough, by my simply carrying out the simple experiment suggested by Dr. Bill Wattenburg; to examine the chad produced by punchcard voting machines to determine if and how dimpled or hanging chad should be counted as bona-fide votes.
